Hanging mobiles are like ecosystems - one small change affects the whole balance.
Tasmania’s remote Takayna region is threatened by logging and mining. Claire spent 1 week camping in one of Takayna’s old-growth rainforests, creating hanging mobiles from materials found on-site. Once photographed, the mobiles were dismantled and their components returned to the environment.
This work was developed through the 2026 Art for Takayna artist residency program with the Bob Brown Foundation.
