Cloud House

The world is made up of cycles and systems that, like the posts and beams of this house, interlink and interlock. A finite quantity of water cycles through different forms – ocean, atmosphere, organisms.

Cloud House is an invitation to consider the systems that we are part of – how we are interlinked with them, and how they are recorded by us.

Shells suspend as a cloud of droplets. Ceramic dishes, textured and tinted by crushed mussel shells catch and spill rain water. Copper pipes that used to transport water to my house clang in the breeze. These works are designed to interact with the weather.

Cloud House was first exhibited in 2024 in the Art Farm Birches Bay Sculpture Prize. Further works in the series were exhibited at Rosny Farm in 2025.
