Hi there!
I’m Claire, an illustrator and visual artist in lutrawita/Tasmania Australia.
When I’m not illustrating, I can be found exploring Tasmania’s wilderness, gathering inspiration from the natural world that features so prominently in my work.
I believe stories should spark curiosity and encourage exploration in the wonderful, wild world.
The world is full of wonder
I want to capture that magic in my illustrations - bringing bold young characters to life as they explore and discover the world around them.
Characters that we can see ourselves in
I believe we should all be able to find ourselves reflected in the picture books we grow up with. That’s why I am committed to developing diverse and complex characters who engage with their world in ways unique to them.
Animals with attitude
Most importantly, I have fun and chase moments of joy and whimsy in my illustrations.
